This is a photographic series on ghost towns of the American West, places which were once booming mining towns built by people seeking their fortunes in gold, silver and cooper. After the mines closed, some towns were completely abandoned and only a few ruins now remain as links to the past: other towns are considered "living ghost towns," places in which the population has greatly diminished but the history and original purpose for the town can be seen in the structures and artifacts that have been preserved.
